The Shrine Auditorium stands on West Jefferson Boulevard beside the University of Southern California, close to Exposition Park. The auditorium seats 6,300, while the adjoining Expo Hall measures 54,000 square feet.

The original auditorium was built in 1906 and destroyed by fire in 1920. The rebuilt Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall opened in January 1926. Its design drew inspiration from the Moorish history of the Mason fraternity. Goldenvoice took over venue management in 2013.
